Keeping Current with Boat repairs and improvements.
Where do I begin with all the upgrades for our precious Neverland. It's impossible to give the dates of the changes because we've been refitting her since she returned to the US in 2021. She has all new rigging. We finally have a complete set of sailing instruments. It's really nice to know your actual wind speed without guessing. We have a new 170 genoa, new main sail, and all the lines come to the cockpit, in boom reefing, which is amazing! We realize that we reef sooner with ease and can shake out the reef with ease=safer sailing.
Creature comfort upgrades include a water maker, a freezer, and a microwave. We added Starlink internet, a TV, an inverter, and a brand-new instrument panel, and a shelf in the V-berth. To keep up with our electrical consumption we added more solar capacity and an arch to support the panels.
We've learned over the 25 years of owning Neverland that we will always be adding upgrades. People say money is just poured into boats with no return. We have been able to do more and go further with every tweak and addition. The older we get and she gets the more we're away from the dock and out in the weather enjoying everything she and we were meant for. So, spend the money and get out there sailing!!
